Job Title: Wireless Network Engineer

Job Description:

The role of the Wireless Network Engineer is to design, develop, and implement large-scale wireless network solutions in production environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, telecommunications, or electrical engineering, with experience in wireless network cloud technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
  • 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments, specifically with wireless network cloud technologies.

As a Wireless Network Engineer, you will be responsible for writing/configuring scripts to engineer network device configurations and create detailed network designs that meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities include creating change documentation, participating in on-call support escalation rotations, managing small internal data network projects, and serving as a liaison between IT verticals, vendors, the business, and the network team.

Other Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of network security protocols (RADIUS, TACACS+, 802.1X).
  • Experience working with network tools such as CA Spectrum and Wireshark.
  • Knowledge of Meraki Wireless Cloud Controllers, Meraki Access Points, Wireless Security (ISE and ACS), QOS, NAT, VOIP, Multicast, DNS services, MPLS networks, and network protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP, SNMP, VLAN Trunking).
