Job Role Overview

This key role is responsible for overseeing production systems during night shifts, ensuring seamless operations and prompt incident response.

  • Expertise in End-of-Day (EOD) and Beginning-of-Day (BOD) job processes is essential to guarantee timely and accurate completion.
  • Coordination of Data Center (DC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) failover activities will be a core responsibility.
  • System patching activities are critical to ensure all systems are up-to-date with the latest security and functionality updates.
  • Effective collaboration with different teams, including development, infrastructure, support, and business teams, is necessary to address and resolve production issues efficiently.
  • Comprehensive periodic status reports detailing performance, incidents, and improvements made during the week will be prepared and shared.
  • Linux-based system administration, focusing on optimal performance, security, and availability, is crucial.
  • Ongoing evaluation and performance optimization of the system will be prioritized.

The preferred skills include experience with EOD/BOD job handling, managing DC, DR failover activities, system patching processes, and coordination with different teams. Knowledge and hands-on experience in managing Linux systems, basic understanding of database systems, excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to work independently, and dedication towards duties and responsibilities are highly valued.
