Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Kafka Cluster Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing and managing high-performance Kafka clusters to handle large-scale data processing.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and Upgrade Kafka Clusters: Ensure high availability and fault tolerance in production-grade Kafka clusters.
  • Automate Installation and Configuration: Utilize tools such as Ansible and Chef to streamline the installation and configuration process.
  • Troubleshoot Critical Issues: Optimize Kafka performance and minimize downtime by resolving complex production issues.
  • Configure MirrorMaker: Implement data replication between two data centers for effective disaster recovery.
  • Manage Provectus Kafka UI: Deploy and manage real-time monitoring and management on a Kubernetes cluster.
  • Integrate Schema Registry: Facilitate seamless data flow with multiple Kafka Connectors.
  • Onboard New Users: Manage ACL permissions, create topics, and implement end-to-end security with SSL/TLS.
  • Design Kafka Infrastructure: Enhance message processing efficiency by designing and managing Kafka infrastructure.
  • Conduct Performance Testing: Optimize partitioning, replication, and retention policies through performance testing.
  • Integrate with ELK Stack and Solr: Scale data storage and analysis by integrating Kafka with ELK Stack and Solr.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications:

BE, BTech, MCA, and MCS degrees only.

Skills:

Extensive knowledge of Kafka clusters, MirrorMaker, Kafka Streams, Schema Registry, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, Monitoring & Logging, Programming & Scripting, and Shell Scripting.

Experience:

3+ years of experience in designing and managing high-performance Kafka clusters.
