Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dimensional Management Engineer to join our team at lt-technology-services. The successful candidate will have 6-8 years' experience in the automobile industry, with a strong background in Body in White domain & Exterior/ Interior.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define measurement system, locator strategy & tolerance specification for Body in White components and exterior trims in line with styling and manufacturing requirements.
  • Ensure robustness of measurement system from part fabrication to complete BiW.
  • Analyze functional requirements of Body in White and create measurement strategy for fitment of modules.
  • Discuss and align tolerance concepts with stakeholders.
  • Perform tolerance stack up study 1D, 2D, or 3D during development phase to identify potential risk in production and provide solutions.
  • Execute tolerance simulation in 3DCS to replicate production process digitally and validate robustness of concept.
  • Ensure quality and timelines of every delivery in project.
  • Create Gap & Flush plans & concepts to ensure visual quality of vehicle.
  • Discuss with cross-functional teams for incorporating feedback and providing solutions.
  • Create and align sub-module integration concept to ensure fitment and fulfill production planning requirement.
  • Create and align closures integration concept in line with gap & flush plan to fulfill requirements.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of 3D tolerance simulation tool (3DCS preferred).
  • Deep understanding of GD&T and SPC.
  • Understanding of perceived quality.
  • Understanding of manufacturing process in Body in White.
  • Understanding of assembly operations in automobiles.
  • Working proficiency in NX.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical/Automobile/Industrial Engineering.
