Product Implementation Manager Job Description

Mentor and guide implementation consultants to excel in their roles, ensuring they are effective in their work. Lead the implementation cycle from start to finish, managing a large portfolio of key customer accounts with optimal solution design that meets clients' business needs.

Collaborate closely with stakeholders within each customer account to identify workflow processes and business challenges, creating a Business Requirements document and project plan for successful implementation. Oversee the implementation/configuration of product suites for each customer account by working closely with business analysts.

Develop strategies for each engagement, identifying critical success criteria, measurable milestones, potential risks, and recommended plans of action. Work collaboratively with internal resources to ensure customer satisfaction (technical support, engineering, sales, etc.) and meet project timelines.

Participate in project planning activities, including defining detailed project tasks/activities. Ensure 100% quality on each delivery using standard testing methods, validation, and user acceptance testing.

Translate functional and technical requirements into business documents, preparing test scripts, training materials, and maintaining required checklists. Responsible for overall project management, stakeholder management, and customer management.

Consistently engage with various levels such as PMO, C Levels, IT, Operation heads at the customer end during engagements. Share best practices, providing not just product consulting but also a touch of business consulting based on the domain, industry, or region of the customer.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in the software industry.
  • PMP, ITIL certification is a plus.
  • Overall 12+ years of experience with 6+ years of strong consulting, customer delivery, and people management skills.
  • Experience with business software such as ERP, CRM, Payroll, HRIS, SAAS applications is a plus.
  • Excellent business acumen and experience dealing with challenging situations.
  • Experience working and communicating with C level executives and HR/Payroll heads.
  • Experienced in handling multiple complex engagements simultaneously.
  • Experience implementing multiple project configuration setups with proven incorporation of structured planning and testing processes.
  • Expertise in setting and managing customer expectations at enterprise level.
  • Expertise in business processes, knowledge on system development, process improvements.
  • Expertise in gathering business requirements, process flows, and use cases.
  • Expertise with modeling and mapping as-is and to-be business processes.
  • Engaged in integration touch points and understanding of emerging technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
