Job Summary:

As a Senior Sales Director, you will oversee commercial efforts across India to maximize market opportunities. Your primary management responsibility is managing business operations, including maximizing sales and market share gain for products and/or services throughout assigned regions in India's domestic and regulated markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Development Strategy:
    • Contribute to the development of a comprehensive BD strategy on Global Accounts growth objectives
    • Determine strategies for selected accounts to drive business expansion
    • Build wallet share of business for Biocon API business in India by identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities
  • Leading Sales and Account Management:
    • Lead operations and day-to-day activities to ensure smooth functioning of businesses and monthly order forecasting for production planning
    • Grow share of business by expanding relationships within customers, identifying influencers, gatekeepers, and decision-makers in India's region, and direct/align with Global and Regional KAMs to penetrate client organizations further
    • Deploy strong consultative selling approach with assigned accounts to identify supply chain challenges and develop value-creating solutions
    • Interact with regular customers to ensure continuity of existing businesses from order receipt to shipment dispatch as per customer requirements
    • Coordinate with planning/production and logistics/shipping teams to ensure dispatch as per customer timelines, provide shipping documentations to customers, and ensure payments are received by due-dates from customers
    • Manage business development activities to add new customers and increase market coverage of existing product ranges in untapped regions

Additional Responsibilities:

Identify markets and customers for new products and pipeline products. Assist regional heads in successful launches and ensuring sales of new products once commercialized.

Provide market research, market intelligence, and key information on international market trends and competition to help divisions with future export strategies.
