Senior Backend Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our team.

Job Description

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, efficient, and secure backend systems. You will work closely with our frontend engineers to ensure seamless integration and collaborate with other teams to drive project success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing robust backend APIs using Python (FastAPI) and TypeScript.
  • Implementing data pipelines for crawling, parsing, deduplication, and embeddings using Azure Functions and container jobs.
  • Connecting external systems and interfaces via API/webhooks/CSV import.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 4+ years of experience in backend engineering with a strong focus on scalability, security, and performance.
  • Proficiency in Python (FastAPI), TypeScript, and solid programming skills.
  • Azure expertise: Functions/Container Apps or AKS jobs, Storage/Blob, Key Vault, Monitor/Log Analytics.
  • Messaging: Service Bus/Queues with idempotence and exactly-once semantics.
  • Databases: PostgreSQL, pgvector, query design, and performance tuning.
