Senior Piping Design Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Piping Design Engineer with strong expertise in piping, HVAC design, and 3D modeling tools.

  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead piping design and layout activities for complex engineering projects.
  • Prepare and review piping GA drawings, isometrics, MTOs, and support drawings.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (process, structural, mechanical, instrumentation, etc.).
  • Perform clash detection and resolve design issues using advanced 3D modeling tools.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers.
  • Handle global client interactions professionally, capturing requirements and delivering effective design solutions.
  • Maintain good communication skills and work individually as well as a team.
  • Familiarize yourself with all marine classification societies, standards, and rules.
  • Identify risks, deviations, and propose solutions to maintain design integrity.
  • Collaborate with procurement and vendors for equipment/piping interface requirements.
  • Support fabrication, installation, and commissioning teams with design clarifications and site queries.
  • Prepare design documentation, reports, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering or relevant qualification.
  • Experience: 4–12 years (or relevant senior-level experience) in piping design.
  • Background in Marine/Offshore projects is highly desirable.
