
Administrative Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-focused Compliance Coordinator to support our compliance function.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide administrative assistance to the Head of Compliance, ensuring seamless coordination, maintenance, and documentation of compliance activities across the organization.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring timely submission of statutory returns or compliance actions.
- Support the Head of Compliance in day-to-day management of compliance obligations (e.g., OfS, UK GDPR).
- Maintain compliance trackers and logs (e.g., risk register, GDPR incident log, training completion log, policy review calendar).
- Monitor deadlines and ensure timely submission of statutory returns or compliance actions.
In addition, you will assist in drafting, formatting, and publishing internal policies and procedures.
You will also provide support in handling Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and ensure all records of consent, privacy notices, and data processing agreements are properly archived and accessible.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Experience in an administrative or compliance support role (3–5 years).
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and record-keeping.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Familiarity with data protection principles under UK GDPR.
- Competent in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Understanding of cybersecurity risks and controls.
- Previous experience in a higher education institution or public sector is valued.
