Senior Linux Systems Architect
- Design and develop high-performance Linux device drivers, focusing on PCIe devices.
- Develop a strong understanding of the Linux kernel architecture, including kernel space versus user space, kernel modules, and memory management.
- Program in C with an emphasis on low-level, performance-sensitive code, including bitwise operations, memory management, pointer arithmetic, and data structure optimization.
- Familiarity with C++ is advantageous for contributing to open-source projects, such as the Linux kernel.
- Contribute to debugging and profiling using tools like kgdb, ftrace, perf, dmesg, and sysfs interfaces.
- Interpret PCIe device hardware documentation, including register maps, timing requirements, and signaling protocols.
- Develop knowledge of the PCIe standard, including enumeration, configuration space, BARs (Base Address Registers), MSI/MSI-X interrupts, and bus mastering.
- Interface with firmware/Bios and understand how PCIe devices are initialized during system boot.
- Work effectively in a team environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Desired qualifications include knowledge of other operating systems, experience with FPGA, SoC, or custom hardware, and performance tuning skills.
