About the Role

The MEP CAD Technician plays a vital role in supporting the design and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health services. This position involves preparing accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models that facilitate efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems in AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM).
  • Work closely with engineers and designers to translate design concepts into coordinated drawings.
  • Ensure drawings comply with project requirements, building regulations, industry standards, and company protocols.
  • Assist in developing coordinated services drawings, clash detection, and model updates.
  • Maintain drawing registers, file management systems, and revision control.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, and experience with Revit MEP/BIM is preferred.
  • Familiarity with British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry codes of practice is required.
  • Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and excellent communication skills are necessary for success in this role.
  • Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities is also crucial.
Desirable Qualities:
  • Familiarity with Navisworks, clash detection, or other BIM coordination tools would be an asset.
