Job Title: Data Model Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Data Model Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data models.

This role involves collaborating with data engineers to ingest and transform data from various sources. The ideal candidate will have strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes. They will also be proficient in SQL and experienced with dbt or similar data modeling tools.

The successful candidate will work closely with analysts and business teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights. This includes implementing and maintaining data testing frameworks to validate pipeline integrity and optimizing SQL queries for performance and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data models using dbt (Data Build Tool).
  • Collaborate with data engineers to ingest and transform data from various sources.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and documentation across all datasets.
  • Work closely with analysts and business teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Implement and maintain data testing frameworks to validate pipeline integrity.
  • Optimize SQL queries and data transformations for performance and scalability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or BI development.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with dbt or similar data modeling tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
