About the Role

This Site Reliability Engineer will report directly to the Sr.MANAGER - SRE & SYstems and will be responsible for the provisioning, de-provisioning, and support of multiple open-source application environments infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide high-level technical guidance and support for assigned critical products.
  2. Work with Linux systems in an IT environment, preferably in a technical industry.
  3. Develop working knowledge on GCP Environments.
  4. Collaborate with teams to design and implement Ansible playbooks, inventories, scheduling, and repositories.
  5. Work with clustering technologies, server farming techniques, load balancing, F5 Big IP or other hardware load balancing.
  6. Design and implement Disaster Recovery techniques including backup and restoration technologies, replication strategies, fail-over and recovery.
  7. Develop automation technologies for rapid deployment of server builds and software deployment.
  8. Ensure experienced installation and configuration of Apache, Samba, FTP, NFS, LDAP.

Requirements

  1. A minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience as an SRE, with at least 2 years in a similar role.
  2. Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to learn new technologies.
  3. Prioritize governance and oversight to guide implementation towards solution delivery.
  4. Mentor and guide teams to successfully deliver projects.
  5. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  6. Deep knowledge of build and release processes, automations, CAAS, and various other technical capabilities.
  7. Contribute to and review deployment plans; schedule installations, upgrades, and fixes to the production environment.
  8. Lead analytical and design activities using validated technologies aligned with organization standards and methods.
  9. Align IT security and operations teams to ensure safe and secure operation of DevOps processes.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$180,000, depending on location and experience.
