Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Risk Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a culture of excellence in risk management, integrating processes, controls, obligations, and risks to ensure seamless interconnectivity.

Main Responsibilities

  • Foster a culture of excellence in risk management, integrating processes, controls, obligations, and risks to ensure seamless interconnectivity.
  • Provide key support for business activities, including Risk Reviews and Risk Reporting, to drive informed decision-making.
  • Demonstrate ongoing commitment to continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and productivity, driving organizational success.
  • Proactively manage risk, ensuring alignment with policy and compliance requirements, performing controls, adhering to processes, and escalating events as needed.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 7-15 years of experience in financial institutions, preferably in risk management, or demonstrate eagerness to learn and adapt.
  • A deep understanding of Operational Risk practices, including obligations, risks, and controls frameworks, as well as audit background.
  • Governance and reporting experience, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Technical dexterity using tools like Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, Word, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a tertiary or postgraduate degree in Risk, Finance, Commerce, Law, or related disciplines, demonstrating academic rigor and expertise.
