Job Title: Senior Financial Strategist

We are seeking an experienced financial leader to drive our company's growth through strategic financial planning and decision-making. This role will be pivotal in shaping our financial strategy, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, managing capital and liquidity, and fostering a high-performing finance team.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy that aligns with business objectives and drives sustainable growth.
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes to ensure accurate projections and informed decision-making.
  • Provide timely and insightful financial reports to stakeholders, driving strategic discussions and informed decision-making.

The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in finance, combined with strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills to partner effectively with the CEO, Board, investors, and regulators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Leadership & Strategy
    • Design and execute a financial strategy that supports business growth and expansion.
    • Oversee annual budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accuracy and relevance.
    • Provide regular financial updates to the CEO/Board, informing strategic decisions and resource allocation.
  • Financial Control & Operations
    • Manage accounting, audits, taxation, and statutory reporting processes to ensure compliance and transparency.
    • Implement robust internal controls and financial governance frameworks to mitigate risks and ensure efficient operations.
    • Optimize cash-flow, cost management, and profitability tracking systems to drive business performance.
  • Treasury & Capital Management
    • Oversee treasury operations, liquidity management, and working capital optimization.
    • Support fundraising initiatives, including debt, equity, co-lending, and securitization.
    • Ensure optimal capital utilization and balance sheet management to support business growth.
  • Risk, Compliance & Audit
    • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, including RBI and NBFC guidelines.
    • Drive effective risk management frameworks covering credit, operational, and financial risks.
    • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring timely closure of observations and maintaining high audit standards.
  • Stakeholder & Investor Engagement
    • BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH BANKS, RATING AGENCIES, AUDITORS, AND REGULATORS TO DRIVE BUSINESS GROWTH.
    • PRESNT ACCURATE, TIMELY FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE TO THE BOARD AND INVESTORS, INFORMING STRATEGIC DECISIONS.
    • SUPPORT INVESTOR RELATIONS AND DUE DILIGENCE FOR FUNDRAISES, ENHANCING CREDITWORTHINESS AND ACCESS TO CAPITAL.
    Requirements:
    • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8+ years of relevant finance experience.
    • Strong background in NBFC/BFSI sector with exposure to MSME lending preferred.
    • Proven expertise in financial planning, compliance, treasury, and risk management.
    • Experience in debt/equity fundraising and stakeholder management.
    • Ability to lead teams and establish high standards of financial governance.
    Preferred Attributes:
    • Prior experience in a high-growth NBFC or fintech lending environment.
    • Strong understanding of RBI regulatory frameworks and audit practices.
    • Analytical thinker with excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
