Job Title: Financial Strategist

The position will spearhead the finance department for our new hotel. As a member of the leadership team, the role champions and develops property-wide strategies to deliver products and services that meet or exceed customer and employee needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops means to improve profit through cost estimation, new business opportunities, and analysis of sales against expenses.
  • Analyzes information, forecasts sales, and creates annual budget plans.
  • Compiles information, analyzes actual sales against projected sales, and identifies differences between actual and forecasted wages.
  • Thinks creatively to develop and execute new business plans, creates annual operating budgets, and provides analytical support during budget reviews.
  • Implements controls to manage business risks, ensures accounting and operational control environments, and analyzes financial data and market trends.
  • Leads the development and implementation of comprehensive annual business plans aligned with the company's strategic direction.

Leadership Skills:

  • Leverages strong functional leadership and communication skills to influence the executive team and lead own team.
  • Oversees internal, external, and regulatory audit processes.
  • Provides excellent leadership by assigning clear accountability and conducting annual performance appraisals.

Qualifications:

  • CA/MBA/Masters degree with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 10+ years experience in accounting preferably with the hotel industry.
