The ideal Tech Lead will have experience, skills, and passion for optimizing our tech architecture, comprising:

  • Over 120 eCommerce websites serving customers worldwide
  • Business analytics determining product selection, customer growth, and retention
  • ERP software managing global operations
  • Software for crawling product listings at scale
  • Modules across functions - marketing, logistics, customer support, finance etc.

We seek an analytical, results-driven developer who will work with team members to troubleshoot and improve back-end applications and processes. The Senior Developer will analyze code and industry developments, formulate efficient processes, solve problems, and create a seamless user experience. You should have excellent communication, computer, and project management skills. To succeed as a backend developer, focus on building a better program and creating a better end-user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Compile data to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
  2. Collaborate with front-end developers to establish objectives and design cohesive code for the user experience.
  3. Develop ideas for new programs, products, or features by monitoring industry trends.
  4. Record data and report it to relevant parties.
  5. Participate in education and training to remain current on best practices and assist other team members.
  6. Lead projects as needed.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field.
  • 10-14 years of experience with primary expertise in Ruby on Rails and familiarity with JavaScript front-end technologies.
  • Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques.
  • Focus on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement.
  • Excellent project and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or with a group.
