ROLE SUMMARY
As a Senior Knowledge Analyst at Boston Consulting Group, you will be part of the Insurance Practice Area, working closely with the Geo Knowledge team to provide industry and functional expertise. Your role will involve collaborating with case and proposal teams to deliver knowledge assets, analysis, and expert advisory. You will serve as a thought partner and content expert, helping to structure and solve complex issues.

Our key responsibilities include:
  • Providing analysis to drive insights into specific client issues, working closely with case teams
  • Getting staffed on cases and working from client-site or BCG office for a duration of couple of months
  • Managing and processing industry focus analysis requests, and assisting consultants with industry-specific problems
  • Interacting with local teams and using internal and external information resources to gather, filter, synthesize, package, and deliver insights to case teams and clients
  • Carrying strong experience in assessing the financial performance of insurance companies, and strong business analytics capabilities
  • Working on cases and content pieces with focus on Insurance space, guiding and providing inputs to client/team members leading to successful execution of strategy on the said topics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Senior Knowledge Analyst, you will be responsible for:
  • Establishing credibility with case teams by identifying and addressing critical knowledge for cases; taking positions/drawing conclusions on a range of external and internal issues
  • Participating in client calls and workshops, and co-leading modules leveraging proprietary data assets and deploying specific methodologies
  • Providing customized knowledge for client work, preparing accurate and well-developed documents and charts
  • Creating/supporting reports on new trends, new topics, regulations, etc. highlighting overall impact on Insurance
  • Identifying key performance indicators for players in the Insurance ecosystem and analyzing data to generate insights
  • Supporting client proposals by compiling data and relevant information, providing research, topic input to the proposal team
Working with topic/sector teams:
  • Working closely with the local BCG Insurance leadership to own and drive performance benchmarks for insurers and other stakeholders
  • Collaborating & maintaining the development of new knowledge through participation in knowledge development projects, database, surveys, tools, etc.
  • Promoting innovation at BCG by identifying knowledge capture opportunities - Developing best practice material on various insurance topics to be used by teams or shared with clients
  • Contributing to build sector/topic/teams and suggesting emerging topic/sectors based on client demand
  • Developing additional proprietary knowledge for the Firm like creation of databases, supporting whitepapers and internal knowledge documents
REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for candidates with:
  • 2 - 3 years of consulting experience in relevant Insurance topics; candidates with consulting experience preferred
    In lieu of consulting experience, 4-6+ years of industry experience strongly preferred
  • Master's degree or equivalent - preferably in business administration or business management with technology background.
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual rigor, along with strong written & verbal comm. skills
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently in absence of supervision and to exercise sound judgment.
  • Team player with ability to work with different seniority levels from different regions.
  • Strong work ethic & service-mentality.
  • Experience working with third-party databases / data sources, preferred

As a Senior Knowledge Analyst, you will collaborate with topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The Knowledge Team (KT) is a group of functional and/or industry experts leveraging deep domain knowledge to enable insight for case teams and clients. KT members are affiliated to BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda and building and deploying leading edge IP data tools/assets to deliver insight.BCG's Knowledge Team members have the opportunity to be staffed on cases and help co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in a particular function and complex research and analysis of market information. KT members also support the PA's business development and proposals and help to organize and codify the knowledge that enables BCG to deliver superior business value for its clients.
