Job Title: Senior Accounting Analyst

The Senior Accounting Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the Review of Monthly Trail balance with Critical / Key Ledger analysis with Balance sheet reconciliations for the Country responsibility assigned by S & C regional Lead / GPO/ Finance controller.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monthly review and analysis of Country Trial Balance: The Senior Accounting Analyst will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing the Country Trial Balance for one or more allocated countries (for Group/ Local set of books) and taking corrective action for rectification if any within the monthly timelines.
  • Compliance Activities: The Senior Accounting Analyst will take responsibility for the timely and accurate accounting and reporting in Group set of books (and wherever applicable Local set of books ) and /or local accounting, reporting, taxation and other activities necessary to comply with applicable national and international entity requirements.
  • Liaise with outsourced providers: The Senior Accounting Analyst will support in Review of output of the outsourced provider (financial statements and other filings) for sign-off by the SME/Area Lead.
  • Process improvement support: The Senior Accounting Analyst will help identify process improvement opportunities and participate in continuous improvement, Global programmes, and change projects.
  • Provide support in Coordinating Group /local audits: The Senior Accounting Analyst will support in ensuring that deliverables are provided by relevant internal parties to ensure that audits are closed timely.
  • Other Support: The Senior Accounting Analyst will support in Performing any local compliance activities for the country/ allocated countries that are not performed by the Global outsourced provider and /or SSC Infosys team.
  • Delivering High Standards of Documentation and record keeping: The Senior Accounting Analyst will maintain Clear documentation and record keeping both in line with LRQA standards and local requirements.
  • Manage tax and audit risk: The Senior Accounting Analyst will assist in the development of standard processes with outsourced provider for taxation audits and help in speedy resolution on minimising tax penalties wherever possible.
Requirements:
  • Professional qualification like CA/CPA/ACCA or local equivalent courses.
  • Years professional accounting experience and managing Statutory audits independently.
  • Standard working knowledge of English and preferably one or more local languages.
  • Experience with auditors and working in an SSC environment.
  • Knowledge of local compliance requirements for tax, accounting and reporting and willingness to understand Global requirements on compliance.
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of how to maintain a strong control framework.
  • Experience in ERP is essential and knowledge of ByD is added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office – Excel , Word and Power point with advance technique is desirable.
