Job Description

We are seeking an experienced facilities manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our engineering and maintenance department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our physical plant, including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems.

You will also be responsible for managing budgets, developing project plans, and supervising construction projects to ensure timely completion within budgetary guidelines. Additionally, you will build positive relationships with external customers, such as city building/zoning departments, fire prevention bureaus, and vendors.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Managing and controlling heat, light, and power, recommending current best methods for energy conservation and economical facility operations.
  • Developing specifications and requirements for service contracts and administering such contracts to support building needs.
  • Distributing preventive maintenance and repair work orders, monitoring timeliness and quality of completion.
  • Overseeing and directing the maintenance of grounds, guestrooms, public space, restaurants, property vehicles, and recreational facilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or GED, with 3 years experience in the engineering and maintenance field, or a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or a related major, with 1 year experience.
  • Technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing is highly desirable.

  • Perform monthly property inspections to ensure buildings and grounds are maintained in excellent condition.
  • Conduct guest room and common area inspections to ensure guest satisfaction.
