About the Position
As a highly skilled Payroll Specialist II, you will be responsible for overseeing payroll operations to ensure seamless and compliant execution. Your key focus areas will include preparing and distributing accurate payroll checks, taxes, and employee benefits, while maintaining efficient systems and records.
Responsibilities
- Accurately review and submit ANZ payroll data in a timely manner to meet processing deadlines, adhering to all relevant processes and controls to ensure full compliance across the region.
- Ensure timely completion of ANZ payroll payments, including relevant deductions for employment taxes, statutory requirements, benefits, and other items.
- Produce monthly payroll reconciliations and support general ledger delivery to finance partners. Collaborate with the Head of Payroll APAC to implement the global payroll strategy for the region, including data migration, parallel payroll runs, and integration testing.
- Deliver exceptional employee experiences through the delivery of payroll services, owning the resolution of payroll-related cases.
- Build relationships with stakeholders across RELX, working closely with the payroll vendor to ensure target SLAs and deadlines are met.
- Coordinate administrative steps for ANZ payroll invoices and ensure timely approval and submission to finance for payment.
Requirements
- Hold knowledge of Australia and/or New Zealand payroll is required.
- Demonstrate experience in supporting payroll transformation projects, leveraging tools like Workday and associated integrations.
- Possess 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in business, finance/accounting, or a related field, with deep expertise in ANZ payroll operations and compliance.
