We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in PostgreSQL, Cloud SQL, and advanced SQL performance tuning.

This is a remote, long-term contract position, requiring deep knowledge of database architecture, high availability, and optimization in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain databases for optimal performance.
  • Perform advanced SQL query optimization, schema design, and database upgrades.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise with Cloud SQL and advanced SQL performance tuning.
  • Solid background in Oracle DBA (RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, performance tuning).
  • Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems for database administration.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Nice to Have:

  • Experience migrating from SQL to PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of database monitoring tools and observability solutions.
