Expert Data Architect

This role requires a highly skilled professional to lead the development of our data platform, ensuring seamless integration and efficient data management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Proven expertise in leading cross-functional teams and providing technical guidance on software engineering principles.
  • Problem Solving Ability: Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable and efficient code with strong problem-solving skills.
Data Platforms
  • Architecture: In-depth understanding of end-to-end data platform architecture from ingestion to transformation to consumption.
  • Production Experience: Hands-on experience building and scaling data platforms in production environments, utilizing AWS services such as EMR, Glue, S3, Redshift and Athena.
AWS Ecosystem
  • Knowledge and Experience: Comprehensive knowledge of AWS services relevant to data engineering, including Amazon SQS/SNS and EventBridge.
  • Event-Driven Architecture: Strong experience with designing event-driven architectures using AWS Lambda, API Gateway and EventBridge.
Microservices Architecture
  • Familiarity: Familiarity with designing and working within microservices-based architectures, including service communication, deployment strategies and monitoring.
Requirements
  • Hands-On Technical Role: This is a hands-on engineering role requiring deep technical involvement in building, deploying and maintaining the data platform.
  • Collaboration: Must be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering environment.
