Job Title: Communications Specialist

Are you an expert in crafting compelling narratives that engage diverse audiences? Do you have a proven track record of developing and executing effective communication strategies?

We are seeking a seasoned Communications Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our communications team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communication plans that align with our organizational goals.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have 4+ or 8+ years of experience in communications, preferably in a large organization. You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging content for various platforms. Your expertise in project management principles, attention to detail, and organizational skills will enable you to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans that align with organizational goals.
  • Craft engaging content for various platforms, including social media, emails, newsletters, and the organization's website.
  • Manage internal communications, including emails, presentations, and newsletters, through collaboration with the comms and biz teams.
  • Research, write, or vet content and design for emails, newsletters, org website, infographics, social media, etc.
  • Plan and initiate communication initiatives for org events.
  • Maintain knowledge of the company's policies, brand guidelines, style guide, and keep up-to-date with relevant developments.
  • Work with internal teams to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the organizational goals.

Requirements:
  • Proven 4+ or 8+ years' experience as communications specialist for internal and external communication, preferably in large organizations.
  • Experience in copywriting and editing for all platforms.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) [essential].
  • Outstanding organizational and planning abilities across locations & teams.
  • Works well under pressure and meets timelines.
  • BSc/BA in public relations, communications or relevant field.
