Responsibilities include leading the implementation and customization of IBM Sterling OMS and Java-based solutions, collaborating with clients to gather and analyze business requirements, configuring and customizing IBM Sterling OMS and Java-based applications software, conducting system testing and quality assurance, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to IBM Sterling OMS software, providing training and support to end-users, and staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in point-of-sale technology.
- Lead the implementation and customization of IBM Sterling OMS and Java-based solutions for clients, ensuring adherence to project timelines and deliverables.
- Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into system configurations and customizations.
- Configure and customize IBM Sterling OMS and Java-based custom applications software to meet specific client needs, including menu layouts, pricing, promotions, and integrations with other systems.
- Conduct system testing and quality assurance to ensure the accuracy and functionality of IBM Sterling OMS solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IBM Sterling OMS software, providing timely and effective support to clients.
- Provide training and support to end-users on IBM Sterling functionality, ensuring smooth adoption and utilization of the system.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in point-of-sale technology, providing recommendations for system enhancements and improvements.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of documentation related to IBM Sterling and custom Java app configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in project planning and execution, ensuring successful implementation and client satisfaction.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Mandatory skills include minimum 5 years hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Order Management (Sterling 9.1), strong knowledge and hands-on experience in custom database extensions, user exits, agents, and building Web Services, experience with distributed version control systems like GIT, and experience with issue tracking tools such as Jira.
Preferred technical qualifications include domain knowledge of order management and store systems, experience with IBM Sterling, IBM Sterling OMS, Java, JEE, JMS, HTML/CSS, WebLogic 10, Oracle 11 in Retail software, and familiarity with PCI compliance and security standards for point-of-sale systems.
