Mortgage Origination Position

As a mortgage origination professional, you will manage the entire value chain of US Home Loan products. This role requires strong knowledge of mortgage industry regulations and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct team members' daily operations, training, hiring, recruiting, and performance reviews.
  • Understand and apply RESPA/TRID review requirements and other federal, state, and industry compliance rules.
  • Interface with title companies, clients, real estate agents, mortgage loan officers, and lenders to ensure successful closings.
  • Elevate customer service by assisting in the application process, overseeing all mortgage loan closings, and completing post-closing tasks promptly.
  • Ensure quality control and future salability of residential mortgage loans and refinances by following lender underwriting guidelines and federal and state regulations.
  • Develop coaching and training programs for new and existing staff.
  • Use quality assurance data to improve lender decision-making.
  • Identify gaps and document processes and procedures.
  • Create a reporting system for clear performance communication with team members, peers, managers, and executive leadership.
  • Monitor and oversee the loan production pipeline.
  • Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met for the department.
  • Prepare and deliver action plans or correction actions when individual metrics are not met.
  • Communicate key initiatives, deliverables, and expectations across team members, peers, managers, and executive leadership.
  • Manage administrative tasks of the department, including timecards, schedules, vacations, and performance reviews.
  • Continuously review processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Find strategic and technological improvements.
