Job Description:

US Accounting Manager

The US Accounting Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing core accounting functions, including billing, general accounting, and accounts receivable. This position requires strong technical accounting expertise and operational leadership to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of monthly and quarterly close processes in accordance with GAAP.
  • Review and posting of journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Maintenance of close calendars and monitoring of team task completion.
  • Preparation of audit schedules and coordination with external auditors.

Billing Oversight & Controls:

The Accounting Manager will oversee customer billing, including transportation, warehouse, and specialty services. They will ensure accurate and timely invoicing, and revenue recognition per ASC 606.

Expense & Accounting Operations:

The Accounting Manager will manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice review, approvals, and payments. They will also coordinate payroll, insurance, lease accounting, and bank reconciliations.

System & Process Optimization:

The Accounting Manager will leverage ERP systems to automate workflows and improve data accuracy. They will demonstrate proficiency in ERP platforms like Infor SyteLine, NetSuite, SAP, and reporting tools like Prophix.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Compliance:

The Accounting Manager will partner with HR, Operations, and Sales to ensure cohesive and accurate financial reporting. They will monitor compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory standards.
