Job Title: Lead Design Engineer for Fire and Security Systems

Job Description:

The primary goal of this role is to design, develop, and implement ELV (Electrification of Low Voltage) fire and security systems in data center projects.

Responsibilities include reviewing MEP/ELV drawings, identifying scope, generating review sheets and RFIs, creating bills of materials, and ensuring quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review MEP/ELV drawings to identify ELV/Fire Detection/Security system scope.
  • Review technical specifications and tender documents.
  • Generate initial review sheets and Request for Information (RFI).
  • Create a bill of material and select field devices and components for ELV/Fire/Security system scope.
  • Prepare I/O summary and required deliverables as per standard processes.
  • Develop ELV/network architecture.
  • Ensure defect-free estimation deliverables and adherence to processes and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • BE/Diploma in Instrumentation / Electrical/Electronics / Electronics & Communication.
  • Working experience on ELV/Security and Fire Detection systems design.
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals and ELV system.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Visio.
  • Knowledge of ELV architecture with different types of Operator workstations, Supervisory Controllers, DDC controllers, Sensors & Actuators etc.
  • Knowledge of CCTV, Access and Fire Alarm system.
  • Must be proficient in reviewing MEP/ELV drawings and system takeoff and preparation of BOQ.
  • Experience in the field of Industrial Automation (PLC programming / DCS/ SCADA) will be an added advantage.
  • Quick learner with keen problem-solving skills and proficient in written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to demonstrate good leadership skills.
