The Jhagadia Float Glass manufacturing unit is one of the strategic investments with the acquisition of erstwhile Sezal Architectural Glass in 2011.

Located at Central Gujarat in Jhagadia of Bharuch District, the float glass plant covers an area of 150 acres with a capacity to produce 550 MT of clear glass per day.

The facility takes pride in setting a high quality benchmark standard within India and globally by producing clear glass with less than 650 ppm of Iron.

Saint-Gobain Jhagadia also sets a benchmark for its TVC campaign of Clear Glass of 654 PPM. The campus uniquely positions itself with an in-house Sand Beneficiation plant with a capacity to produce 600 tons of treated sand per day.

Jhagadia glass site has positioned itself over a decade to attract many future investments in India.

Key Role Responsibilities:
  • Operation and maintenance of switchyards, HT & LT switchgears, transformers, motors, EOT cranes, battery & charger, UPS, PCC, MCC, Plant lighting & PLC, electro hydraulic grab, and crushing equipment.
  • Maintenance and operation knowledge in gensets, electrical Panels, Transformers, isolators and lightning arrestors.
  • Maintenance of soft starters & automation systems & basic operations of PLC's and SCADA.
  • Troubleshooting of AC/DC machines, circuit theory & earthing concepts.
  • Control systems & automation systems.
  • Protection and metering devices & systems.
  • Knowledge in VFD & PLC applications.
  • Knowledge of encoders & feedback sensors.
  • HV, MV & LV power systems & equipments.
  • Electrical generation & distribution system.
  • Energy calculations and efficiency improvements.
