At the forefront of tax management services, we seek an accomplished Service Engineer to provide comprehensive production support for Vertex tax systems and their integration with ERP platforms.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Taxation expertise, encompassing Sales & Use Tax, VAT, GST, and Withholding Tax across various jurisdictions
  • Vertex Tax Calculation Rules maintenance and troubleshooting, including Tax Jurisdictions and Product Taxability Assignments
  • ERP integrations support with Vertex, such as Oracle Fusion and internal systems
  • Accuracy in tax rates, exemptions, and determinations
  • Tax Configuration, Tax Categories, and Exemption Certificates management within Vertex
  • Tax Reporting and Compliance, including report generation for filing and audit purposes
  • Tax Accruals and Reconciliations to ensure General Ledger accuracy
  • Timely solutions provision to users
  • Resolution steps documentation and knowledge base articles
  • System upgrades and patches support
  • System performance monitoring and improvement recommendations

Technical Operations:

  • SQL & Data Analysis by querying ERP and Vertex databases for tax calculations, transaction history, and reconciliation
  • ERP-Vertex integration issue troubleshooting, including debugging tax calculation
