Job Summary:

As Area Sales Manager for 3M, you will be responsible for driving sales and business development activities in the Architectural Market Vertical in South India, based out of Chennai. You will promote our brand experience concept with various stakeholders in the building segment, including Architects, Retail business, and Residential clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Execution: Oversee overall sales execution for the Architect Market, including sales and business planning, managing forecasting, tracking inventory, order collection, driving billing and payment collection, and issue resolution.
  • Driving Specifications: Work as a technology consultant with Architects to convince them to incorporate 3M's specifications in Bill of Materials (BOM). Identify projects, develop connections, map stakeholders, establish relationships, and track competitive activity.
  • Pipeline Management: Utilize Salesforce (SFDC) to manage accounts, leads, and opportunities, create revenue schedules, and log calls.
  • Collaboration: Work with Marketing and Technical teams to execute marketing campaigns and programs, convert leads into opportunities, and plan technical training programs to win customer loyalty.
  • Industry Engagement: Drive industry engagement, identify forums and communities, represent 3M, participate in industry seminars, webinars, and exhibitions, and stay updated on trends.
  • Retail Development: Identify and develop retail opportunities to expand retail market presence and increase market share. Create a comprehensive business plan to enter the retail market.

Qualifications:

  • MBA
  • 5-7 years of experience with a proven sales track record
  • Good understanding of doing business with Architects, PMC's, and Contractors
  • Experience in Dealer/Distributor handling will be an added advantage
  • Experience in Concept Selling, Specification Incorporation, and Tender Generation
