Storage Platforms Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Storage Platforms Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and deploying storage solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and deploy storage solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure effective delivery and service operations of storage platforms.
  • Oversee the operational health, management, security, lifecycle, and reliability of storage solutions.
  • Provide 24/7 operational oversight and direction to external technical and engineering teams.
  • Support and ensure compliance to defined IT governance controls, standards, and practices.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years of experience in working with storage technologies.
  • Knowledge about SAN storage - implementation, management, and administration of IBM SVC and Flash Arrays and Brocade SAN switches.
  • Implementation of disaster recovery plans, including Metro and Global Mirroring on SVC and Snap Mirror replication.
  • Experience with hyper-converged infrastructure platforms.
  • Experience in both on-prem and cloud deployment of storage solutions.
  • Experience in service management or engineering of a global service portfolio in similar areas as above, across geographies and business areas.
  • Track record in delivering on time, quality, and budget.

Competencies:

You will also need:

  • IT infrastructure management.
  • IT service management practices (ITIL foundation certification).
  • Compliance, risk management (GxP: sound knowledge of validation practice and IT control standards).
  • Systems integration & build (Dev-Ops mindset and full solution lifecycle understanding from idea to retirement).
  • Customer and service-first attitude.
  • Documented experience working across IT teams.
