Financial Manager for Investment Accounting

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to oversee investment accounting operations. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy of financial data and supporting staff with complex tasks.

About the Role

This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of our financial systems and providing high-quality support to our team members.

The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in both general ledger and investment accounting, as well as a strong understanding of consolidated concepts and private equity accounting.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 9+ years of experience in US accounting with:
  1. General ledger accounting expertise
  2. Investment accounting skills (with proficiency in platforms such as Sage, QBO, Geneva, Investran)
  3. Consolidated accounting knowledge (including eliminating entries)
  4. Private equity accounting expertise
  5. Wealth enterprise accounting (entity cost allocation) capabilities
  6. Trust & foundation accounting skills
  7. Basic tax treatment understanding
  8. Diverse experience in investment and personal accounting, especially for family enterprises
  9. Experience in a reviewer role and staff/project management
  10. Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities
  11. Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Experience
  • Hands-on experience with both investment performance platforms (e.g., Black Diamond) and accounting systems (e.g., Sage, QBO)
  • A proven track record in investment accounting for family offices or similar environments
  • Ability to train and support staff on complex accounting entries and reconciliations
