Manufacturing Excellence Manager Role

We are seeking a seasoned Manufacturing Excellence Manager to drive our organization's transformation journey by leveraging process improvement methodologies and innovative thinking.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and the Centre of Excellence to build a continuous improvement environment for manufacturing transformation, leading and facilitating World Class Manufacturing practices.
  • Support improved value and efficiency through eliminating unnecessary complexity in business processes and identifying better ways of working.
Main Responsibilities
  • Implement a standard world-class manufacturing framework across pan-India plants.
  • Develop new support materials based on revised processes, including training, reporting, and systems enhancements.
  • Monitor project risks to foresee potential problems and identify solutions in advance.
  • Evaluate business impact and project objectives to ensure they are identified, reported, and managed at all times.
  • Design and implement programs, deliver coaching, and run projects across plants.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery and identify improvements for future projects.
  • Enhance efficiency KPIs in manufacturing sites.
  • Apply lean methods to increase efficiency, throughput, and operational excellence.
  • Owning change initiatives from evolution/efficiency identification to project delivery via internal governance and controls.
  • Assist plant teams in benchmarking, solutions, problem-solving, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Support operations in designing, developing, and implementing policy deployment within the business.
  • Perform risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.
  • Ensure ongoing learning and development of employees in Lean improvement tools and communication methods.
  • Enable teams and individuals to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
Key Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in driving process improvements. They should also be familiar with World Class Manufacturing practices and have experience in implementing lean methodologies.

Candidates should hold a degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or business administration, and have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.

A certification in Lean Six Sigma would be an added advantage.
