Database Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Database Specialist to manage and maintain our database infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience with relational databases, data modeling, and SQL query optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and deploy SQL scripts, stored procedures, and functions to improve database performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with developers to design, implement, and maintain database solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including data discrepancies and performance bottlenecks.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices for database development.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience working with relational databases, such as Oracle or MySQL.
  • Strong understanding of database concepts, including data modeling and SQL query optimization.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing them for performance.
  • Experience with PL/SQL programming, including the creation of stored procedures and functions.
  • Knowledge of database design principles and data modeling techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) for database code management.
  • Knowledge of database security practices and data integrity concepts.
