Our organization seeks a seasoned professional to assume the role of AVP Control Assurance. This position is critical in ensuring that our operations are governed by robust controls, thereby minimizing risk and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective control design principles to ensure the integrity of our operations.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to identify areas of improvement and recommend necessary changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of control assurance activities.
  • Provide expert guidance on control design effectiveness assurance and operating effectiveness testing.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and regulatory developments to ensure our controls remain relevant and effective.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of overall experience in Controls Assurance/Testing, with a focus on horizontal or principal risks.
  • Strong knowledge of data analytics techniques and their application in control assurance.
  • Proven expertise in one or more principal risks, including Data Governance, Data Lineage, Data Quality, Records Management, People Risk, Supplier Risk, Premises, GRS, etc.
  • Basic minimum educational qualification: Graduate or equivalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across a global team.
  • Experience in consolidating and processing information from multiple sources to create meaningful insights and reporting for stakeholders.

  • Experience working in a risk, control, audit, or governance function.
  • Knowledge of Project Management and Change Management, proven through a relevant professional qualification (e.g., Prince2, Project Management Institution).
  • Experience with databases and data science/analytics tools (SQL, Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, etc.).
