Job Overview

As a seasoned Chef De Partie, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our esteemed establishment. This position requires an individual with exceptional leadership skills, culinary expertise, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with finesse.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate and review incoming bakery orders to optimize shift operations efficiently.
  2. Organize and execute mise en place for current and next shifts, ensuring seamless transitions.
  3. Coordinate with front-end and production teams to manage special/custom orders smoothly, maintaining high levels of product quality, consistency, and hygiene at all times.
  4. Prepare and maintain the Raw Material Indent Chart for the next day in coordination with the store, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  5. Plan and delegate preparation tasks for the next shift, promoting teamwork and effective communication among staff members.
  6. Create and manage the duty roster for staff assigned to the shift, ensuring workflow continuity and adaptability to changing circumstances.
  7. Actively assist the Sous Chef in overseeing daily bakery kitchen operations, providing guidance and support as needed.
  8. Take charge of the bakery section in the absence of the Sous Chef, ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities and upholding the highest standards of quality and hygiene.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a bakery or hotel kitchen environment, with supervisory experience and a proven track record of success.
  • Certification/Diploma in Bakery or Culinary Arts is preferred, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Strong knowledge of bakery production processes, raw materials, and food safety standards, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Ability to lead a team and manage operations independently, making informed decisions and adapting to changing situations.
  • Excellent planning, communication, and coordination skills, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Flexible to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays, with a willingness to go above and beyond to meet the needs of the business.
  • Familiarity with HACCP and standard hygiene protocols, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene.
