Software Quality Assurance Engineer

The role of a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer involves developing, modifying, and executing software test plans, automated scripts, and programs for testing. This ensures the quality standards of products through systematic tests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We design and implement automated and manual test cases for Salesforce CPQ/Salesforce Service cloud applications and related systems.
  • We develop, maintain, and execute functional, regression, and integration test cases for Salesforce applications.
  • We create and run automation test scripts using Tosca.
  • We conduct API testing using Tosca, validating request/response behavior across integrations.
  • We actively participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and story refinement, contributing QA insights early in the development cycle.
  • We document test plans, test cases, and test data sets, ensuring clear traceability to requirements.
  • We identify, log, and track defects, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and collaborate with cross-functional teams to revalidate fixes.
  • We support test optimization efforts through reusable components and automation improvements.
  • We provide input on story refinement and share QA insights during sprint ceremonies.
  • We apply test design techniques (including positive, negative, and edge case coverage) to improve overall quality outcomes.
  • We validate Salesforce workflows, custom objects, and system integrations across different environments.
  • We collaborate with developers and product teams to identify gaps, clarify requirements, and ensure robust test coverage.

Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field is required. The ideal candidate has 3-12 years of experience in SQA, with a balance of both test automation and manual testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • TOSCA Certification (TA1 or equivalent) or Salesforce Certification such as Administrator.
  • Experience with end-to-end testing, including test planning, execution, UAT, and regression testing.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and curious, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
