Estimation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Estimation Professional to join our team at a dynamic company.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for machined and fabricated components, analyzing technical drawings and specifications to develop Bill of Quantities (BOQs), and coordinating with design, procurement, and sales teams for project costing.

Additionally, you will engage in reverse engineering and estimation for new developments, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize vendor pricing.

You will also maintain and update cost databases for bought-out items and support RFQ/RFP responses and prepare techno-commercial proposals.

Responsibilities
  • Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for machined and fabricated components
  • BOQ Development: Analyze technical drawings and specifications to develop BOQs
  • Project Costing: Coordinate with design, procurement, and sales teams for project costing
  • Reverse Engineering: Engage in reverse engineering and estimation for new developments
  • Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize vendor pricing
  • Cost Database Management: Maintain and update cost databases for bought-out items
  • Proposal Support: Support RFQ/RFP responses and prepare techno-commercial proposals
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering and 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing/machinery estimation.

You should be proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office, and have ERP familiarity preferred.
