Senior Server Administrator – Hybrid Infrastructure

Our organization is seeking an experienced Senior Server Administrator to lead the management of our hybrid server infrastructure. This role will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing both on-premises and cloud-based environments, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Windows 365 Cloud PCs.

The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and a passion for delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing infrastructure solutions.

  • Administer and support Windows Server environments across on-prem and Azure platforms.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage Azure Virtual Machines and related services.
  • Design, implement, and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, including host pools, session hosts, FSLogix profiles, and scaling plans.
  • Manage Windows 365 Cloud PCs, including provisioning policies, user assignments, and performance monitoring.
  • Hypervisor administration, including provisioning of virtual machines, performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting of virtual environments.
  • Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell and Azure CLI.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security across all environments.
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to enforce policies and respond to vulnerabilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in server administration with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
  • Proven experience managing both on-prem and Azure-based virtual machines.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 Cloud PC administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Windows Server OS.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
