Accounting Associate

The role of an Accounting Associate involves maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records in Zoho Books. This includes journal entries, payments, receipts, and bank transactions. The incumbent will be responsible for performing monthly bank and vendor reconciliations, as well as supporting month-end and year-end financial closure activities.

In this position, the candidate will also prepare and file GST (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and TDS returns. They will assist in internal and statutory audits by providing necessary documentation and data. Additionally, they will support the finance team in preparing profit & loss statements, balance sheets, MIS reports, budget vs actuals, and cash flow analysis.

The ideal candidate for this role holds a Master's degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting and has at least 1 year of experience in accounting roles such as Accounts Associate or Finance Executive. Experience in finance/accounting services or structured finance teams is preferred. Familiarity with tools like Zoho Books is a plus.

Key responsibilities include managing accounting entries and daily bookkeeping, ensuring timely GST and TDS filings, preparing financial reports, and liaising with stakeholders including vendors, banks, and auditors. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing day-to-day accounting tasks with accuracy and ownership.
