Senior Web Development Manager Position

We seek a seasoned senior web development manager with expertise in PHP frameworks and WordPress development, complemented by strong project management skills. This role will lead and mentor a team of developers, overseeing full-cycle web development projects to ensure timely, high-quality delivery aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a cross-functional team of web developers and project managers to drive the execution of multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Architect, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, CodeIgniter) and WordPress to meet business needs.
  • Oversee end-to-end project execution – from requirement gathering to delivery – ensuring quality, timeliness, and adherence to best practices for efficient project management.
  • Collaborate with clients, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions that deliver value.
  • Implement best practices in coding, architecture, and project management to foster a culture of excellence within the team.
  • Conduct regular code reviews and performance evaluations for the development team to identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage resources, timelines, and communication between internal teams and external clients to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Utilize project management methodologies (preferably PMP) to track deliverables, manage risks, and drive efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to web standards, data security, and compliance protocols to safeguard company interests.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in web development with a strong focus on PHP and WordPress.
  • Proven experience in leading web development teams and managing complex projects to achieve strategic objectives.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification is highly preferred to demonstrate expertise.
  • Expertise in one or more PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter) to drive innovation.
  • In-depth knowledge of WordPress (custom themes, plugins, multisite, etc.) to deliver customized solutions.
  • Strong understanding of front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery to drive user engagement.
  • Hands-on experience with version control tools (Git), deployment tools, and CI/CD pipelines to streamline project workflow.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills to inspire and motivate the team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment to drive success.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in an agency or client-facing environment to foster collaboration.
  • Familiarity with hosting environments and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.) to optimize infrastructure.
  • Agile/Scrum project management experience to leverage iterative development approaches.
