About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards, taxation rules, and bookkeeping principles. They will also possess excellent English communication skills and be able to work effectively with our leadership team.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports in compliance with Australian accounting standards.
- Assist with BAS, GST, and other tax-related filings.
- Process payroll and superannuation contributions (if required).
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Work closely with accountants to ensure financial reports are accurate and compliant.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience, preferably with Australian clients or companies.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of BAS, GST, superannuation, and other Australian compliance requirements.
- Communication: Fluent English (written and verbal) with clear, professional, and confident communication skills.
- Work Style: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
