Garment Merchandiser Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary liaison between buyers and internal teams.
  • Understand buyer requirements, develop samples, and ensure timely approvals.
  • Prepare and manage timelines for each order.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials.
  • Monitor order status, production progress, and delivery timelines to avoid delays.
  • Prepare costing reports and negotiate prices with buyers and suppliers.
  • Manage buyer communications regarding order updates, changes, and queries.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on trends, pricing, and buyer expectations.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and buyer compliance requirements.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of garment manufacturing, production timelines, buyer communication, and product development. A degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
