Geospatial Data Analyst Role

This position involves working with geospatial data to inform decision-making. The ideal candidate will have experience in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting spatial data.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection and Management: Responsible for searching, processing, and managing large datasets, including GIS data, satellite imagery, and other spatial data sources.
  • Validate and ensure the accuracy, quality, and completeness of spatial data.
  • ETL operations: Perform ETL operations between GIS applications/database using Esri Desktop or Server.
  • GIS Analysis and Mapping: Conduct spatial analysis, map creation, and geospatial model development to aid various projects and initiatives.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through quality checks and resolution of data discrepancies using ArcGIS Data Reviewer.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with Image Analysis: Familiarity with image processing techniques.
  • Knowledgeable with various ESRI products - ArcGIS Enterprise, Image Analyst Extension, Data Reviewer Extension.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.

Certifications and Education:

  • Master's degree in RS, GIS, Geoinformatics, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with various software applications and tools relevant to geospatial data collection and analysis.
