Job Title:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Director to lead our Systems team in developing new neurostimulator system solutions.

  • Plan, direct, and implement all aspects of system design, development, and validation of medical device systems and products.
  • Apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices to guide the team on issues related to design, characterization, and verification testing.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and experience managing cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive strategies for system design, development, and validation.
  • Lead the team in partnership with business for the development of new concepts from initial design to market release and sustain products already on the field.
  • Monitor documentation maintenance throughout all phases of development.
  • Organize the coordination of activities across the product teams within a system development to ensure timely delivery of the system for design characterization, verification, and validation testing.
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Pose strong technical leadership skills to guide and mentor a team of engineers involved in the system SI&T process.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the systems verification and validation processes.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, providing technical insights and updates on systems verification and validation progress.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree required with Minimum of 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience managing a cross-functional engineering technical team size of 20 or more.
  • Provide a blend of people management and technical savviness.
  • Have a deep understanding of the embedded and application SW development processes (Agile, waterfall methodology) and in establishing metrics & recommended processes for the team.
  • Experience with validation of test methods, hard and software, test fixtures.

Must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and a passion for learning new things.
