Senior Public Sector Sales Professional

Role Overview:
This is a Government/Public Sector sales position requiring in-depth knowledge of technology and business goals. The role involves strategic thinking, planning, and tactical execution of identified business opportunities. The successful candidate will manage all facets of the relationship with Government accounts in North, ensuring revenue goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary point-of-contact for Government account(s) in North, maintaining contact at a high, executive level.
- Sell F5's products or services to and maintain relationships with existing Gov/State/SPU accounts.
- Identify and qualify long-term and short-term business opportunities, addressing competitive threats.
- Prepare formal proposals and presentations, present to all levels of the organization, and close sales in a professional manner.
- Manage key partner relationships, facilitating executive-level communication between the customer, F5, and partners.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technical developments, and government regulations affecting target markets.
- Understand organization's business needs, develop application of products and services, and communicate how F5's solutions will address those needs.
- Research and develop lists of potential customers, follow up on leads, and act to close deals.
- Assume a leadership role in coordinating account strategy and tactics for sales support team.
- Ensure accurate sales forecasting, utilizing SalesForce appropriately and maintaining it on a regular basis.
- Develop and maintain detailed account profiles, including organizational charts for all accounts.
- Partner with internal and external teams to develop innovative technical solutions to maximize F5's footprint and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- BS/MBA degree preferred.
- 10-15 years of direct work experience in State Gov/Central Ministries/PSU.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills with an Integrity First Approach.
- Strong solution selling and presentation abilities.
- Advanced client interfacing and customer-focused approach.
- Strong Influencing and objection handling skills.
- Demonstrated selling skills in a complex matrix environment.
- Effective use of internal relationships and resources.
- Use of Sales tools like SFDC and Clari.
- Ability to do territory/account/opportunity planning with heat maps.
- Strong ability to effectively manage time and prioritize workload, develop and manage pipeline and forecasting.
- Understanding of Indian Public Business landscape (Central, PSU, and States).
- Knowledge of products and solutions in F5 space a definite plus.
