Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing Strategies: Develop and implement sourcing plans aligned with business goals.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the purchase and store team to achieve departmental targets.
  • Procurement Optimization: Optimize procurement, inventory, and sourcing processes for cost savings and efficiency.
  • Purchase Clubbing: Understand department requirements, club purchase needs, and source accordingly at group level.
  • Negotiations: Negotiate with existing and new vendors (OEMs, foreign vendors, distributors) for best pricing and quality.
  • Audit Management: Finalize L1/L2 vendors, execute agreements, and maintain vendor trackers with cost-benefit analysis.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory to meet production demands while minimizing waste and obsolescence.
  • Vendor Development: Continuously explore and develop new vendors to improve rates and services.
  • ERP Utilization: Utilize ERP for tracking, and reporting.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor costs, analyze performance metrics, and report improvements to management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 13–17 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain (Manufacturing industry experience preferred).
  • Negotiation, Contracting, and Analysis: Strong negotiation, contract management, and analytical skills.
  • ERP Knowledge: Knowledge of ERP systems, and supplier management processes.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving: Excellent communication, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Prioritization and Efficiency: Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and drive cost efficiency.
