About this role

We seek a skilled communications professional to join our team as a Consultant. As a Consultant, you will drive the implementation of PR campaigns, achieving results for clients agreed upon with senior team members. You will interface with client contacts, media relations contacts, and press on a day-to-day basis, drafting client, press, or public-facing communications/content while maintaining insights and understanding of industry trends, competitors, and macro-factors through research and media monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead medium to large-sized accounts, providing client consultancy and day-to-day account management.
  • Project manage accounts, ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Manage Associate Consultants and Consultants, playing a role in their development and training.
  • Ensure client teams undertake account administration, including WIP documents, contact reports, coverage, and media lists.
  • Leverage media networks and successfully pitch stories.
  • Understand and enable the use of traditional and social media tools to track coverage, gauge online sentiment, understand media and industry trends, etc.
  • Contribute to new business development by cultivating relationships with clients, building business networks, and attending networking events.

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year

This role requires experience as an Account Manager (4-5 years) with expertise in technology, B2B, or corporate PR. Experience leading accounts, providing high-quality client counsel, and formulating creative ideas and solutions is essential. A great writer able to draft PR materials, such as press releases, bylines, and articles, is also required. Proven experience managing and supporting junior team members, as well as excellent contacts with local media, are highly valued.
