Cloud Automation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Automation Engineer to design, build, and optimize infrastructure automation solutions.

The ideal candidate should have expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation, strong experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and hands-on skills in VMware automation, OpenShift, Nutanix, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Infrastructure Design: Develop reusable and scalable IaC templates for public, private, and hybrid clouds.
  • Automation Expertise: Automate provisioning and configuration across various cloud platforms.
  • VMware Automation: Implement VMware automation and enable policy-as-code.
  • Containerized Environments: Manage containerized environments using OpenShift clusters.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
  • Automated Testing: Integrate automated testing and quality checks for deployments.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to streamline the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Deployment and Optimization: Deploy and optimize infrastructure on various cloud platforms.
  • Multi-Cloud Strategy: Enable multi-cloud and hybrid strategies with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Nutanix and Hyperscaler Solutions: Automate solutions on Nutanix platforms and hyperscaler environments.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring, auto-scaling, and self-healing mechanisms. Troubleshoot and ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Team Support: Work closely with DevOps, Operations, and Security teams. Maintain detailed documentation and provide team mentorship.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Experience: CI/CD pipeline expertise (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions).
  • Scripting Proficiency: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
  • VMware and Aria Stack Expertise: Expertise in VMware automation and Aria stack.
  • Nutanix and AHV Experience: Experience with Nutanix (AHV, Prism, Calm).
  • Git/GitOps Workflow Familiarity: Familiarity with Git/GitOps workflows.

  • Terraform Associate Certification: Terraform Associate (HashiCorp)
  • OCI Certified Architect: OCI Certified Architect
  • Kubernetes Certification: Kubernetes (CKA / CKAD / OpenShift EX280)
  • VMware Certifications: VMware Certifications
  • Nutanix Certifications: Nutanix (NCA / NCP-MCI)
